Job Description

As a Security Officer - Luxury Homes Access Control in Laguna Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at this prestigious commercial real estate location, you will monitor entrances and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for residents and guests. You will be highly visible, providing outstanding customer service while leveraging technology such as computers or tablets. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by performing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and its perimeter to observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and patrols.
• Communicate professionally with clients, guests, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
