The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Associate Director, Annual Giving, Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement [R0143034]

ROLE of the POSITION

As the University of Nevada, Las Vegas prepares to enter its next comprehensive campaign, the Associate Director of Annual Giving will play a critical role across an integrated program and is responsible for the multi-channel solicitations of a global constituency of 130,000+ alumni, and thousands of parents and friends with a focus on raising money for hundreds of university designations. 

The Associate Director reports to the Director of Annual Giving and is considered an important partner across a multi-faceted program. This position exists to increase annual private funding on behalf of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This position will identify prospects, cultivate and solicit leadership annual gifts at the $1,000 - $25,000+ level. This position requires extensive personal networking, solicitation, and donor stewardship. 
 

The Associate Director will be responsible for managing faculty and staff giving and matching gifts, as well as, creating and implementing corporate leadership annual giving initiatives. In addition, the Associate Director will serve as a direct liaison with the development officers for colleges and units. 

It is expected that the Associate Director attends campus events, stewardship events and community events as a representative of UNLV. The Associate Director will represent the institution professionally and increase the community’s knowledge of and confidence in UNLV and the UNLV Division of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement. This position plans and supports activities that help provide stewardship of current donors and cultivation of new donors through the Annual Giving program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) with a minimum of three years of experience in a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Major gift development experience, preferably in higher education.
