Salary: $125,600 to 160,000
Shift: Day Shift (but not limited and could be required to work off shift and weekends as needed)

ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager with a strategic vision and proven leadership skills to oversee the EHS team and world class programs at our Baldwinsville, NY Brewery. In this key role, you will lead a team in ensuring the brewery’s safety and environmental practices comply with all regulatory requirements while striving for excellence. This role will provide an exciting opportunity to drive safety and environmental excellence by working closely with cross-functional teams, safety champions, and senior leadership. Through proactive problem-solving and collaboration with key stakeholders, you will create, lead, and drive initiatives that foster a culture of safety interdependence and behavioral safety, reduce risks, and promote environmental sustainability throughout the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Lead the development and implementation of all EHS improvement initiatives, ensuring daily operations are effectively managed in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to all levels of the organization on EHS strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee and direct incident investigations, identify root causes, and collaborate to implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Represent the facility in interactions with regulatory agencies, support the negotiation of fines and penalties, and ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations and laws.
- Own the Workers’ Compensation Program, collaborating with providers to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and managing injury claims effectively.
- Oversee the compilation and maintenance of EHS data and reporting requirements for local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring accurate and timely submissions. Ensure the facility remains compliant with environmental permits, including Title V permits, wastewater permits, hazardous waste management, and other environmental regulatory obligations.
- Participate and lead audits at the brewery to remain in compliance. Responsible for tracking and completion of findings and actions from audits within specified timelines.
- Responsible for the Contractor Safety Management Program, ensuring contractors comply with safety and environmental standards and follow established protocols while on-site.
- Proactively identify and address unsafe behaviors and conditions in the workplace, using regulatory requirements and best safety practices to eliminate risks in partnership with brewery teams. Promote and recognize safe behaviors and ownership of territorial safety by team members.
- Use regulatory requirements to proactively identify environmental opportunities and leverage industry best practices to mitigate risks and enhance sustainability in the workplace.
- Foster a culture of safety by involving employees and leadership in safety initiatives, driving engagement through team building and regular safety training.
- Lead the overall objectives of the EHS department, continuously improving processes, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest safety and environmental standards.
