JOB SUMMARY
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Heart Failure/VAD/Transplant Team Lead provides leadership and operational support for the APP team to ensure high-quality, efficient, and coordinated patient care. This role combines clinical expertise with administrative oversight, focusing on optimizing scheduling, managing provider coverage, and supporting team engagement and development. Clinical 80%, Admin 20%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Management: Develop, maintain, and oversee the APP schedule to ensure adequate clinical coverage and efficient utilization of team resources.
- PTO and Coverage Coordination: Review and approve PTO requests while balancing staffing needs and service line requirements. Proactively identify potential coverage gaps and implement solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between APPs, physicians, nursing leadership, and administrative teams. Communicate updates, policy changes, and staffing adjustments effectively.
- Team Support and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to APPs, fostering professional growth, engagement, and teamwork.
- Quality and Process Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for operational efficiency, and assist with implementing best practices.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Education
Master's Degree Or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. and
Master's Degree Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. or
Master's Degree Graduate of a master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician, inc. (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.

3 years Of experience in advanced practice provider role required, with demonstrated increasing responsibility. and
- Licenses and Certifications
(ANP) ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER Licensure
