THE ROLE: Senior Tax Manager, Indirect Tax,
Job Summary:
The Senior Tax Manager, Indirect Tax, position is responsible for supporting the Vice President of Tax in overseeing the indirect tax functions of the organization. This position will be responsible for complex activities of the tax department to include implementing new tax systems and migrating existing customers to the new platforms, integrating newly acquired businesses into Presidio systems, managing state and local tax audits, and overseeing the property tax and gross receipts tax function. This position will collaborate closely with outside vendors on the system implementation efforts and will oversee the relationships with multiple tax consulting firms.
Travel Requirements:
In this role you will be expected to travel up to 10%.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage state and local tax audits for sales and use, gross receipts, and property tax and implement processes and procedures to minimize risks.
- Negotiate the settlement of audits, offers in compromise agreements, and voluntary disclosure agreements.
- Oversee the bidding process for the vendor selection of Presidio's sales tax engine and other tax software products.
- Oversee the set up and configuration of Presidio's sales tax engine to meet the requirements for each legal entity, including building tax assist rules to accommodate unique and complex customer situations.
- Manage the integration efforts for other financial systems impacting tax, i.e. D365, Sales Force, etc.
- Oversee the integration of newly acquired businesses into Presidio's tax systems.
- Develop and manage the loss contingency for indirect taxes and report to Senior Management quarterly.
- Participate in due diligence efforts to quantity exposure for potential asset acquisitions.
- Oversee the property tax and gross receipts tax function.
- Provide high level metrics and data requested by Senior Management.
- Research highly technical tax issues relating to indirect tax compliance and the taxation of Presidio’s products and services.
- Oversee team process improvements by using automation tools, such as Alteryx.
- Develop cross-functional relationships both within and outside the tax function.
- Hire and manage outside consultant’s.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting of finance or equivalent experience and/or military experience
- 10 to 15+ years of indirect tax experience
- Two+ years tax experience with Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm is a plus
- Strong technical tax background in sales tax systems
- Experience with public company working in a SOX controls environment is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of taxing authority audit proc
