Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Medical Assting Program.  This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Medical Assisting courses. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation. 

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program resulting in a Certification of Completion or a Diploma; assoicate degree preferred 
• At leas one of the following Certifications:
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• At least three years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or patient facing medical facility
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, motivated and results driven
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
