We're hiring top talent to join Marco for a 10-week, Summer 2023 internship and hopefully beyond! You'll work on real and impactful projects while receiving training and mentorship.
As a Cyber Operations Intern you will support Marco’s managed IT operations by managing Marco’s solutions while maintaining and implementing technology standards. You will respond to client requests in a timely and methodical manner, manage tasks to resolution, and communicate expectations along with status updates while following defined processes. This position will gain and understanding of the latest technologies, architectures, and security threats that may impact Marco and our clients. You will provide escalation support to our managed customer support teams.
*This position is available in either Minnetonka, MN or St. Cloud, MN*

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Acquire an understanding of Marco’s information systems, managed technology solutions, architecture, and how it is designed to operate daily. Contribute as assigned to daily security management tasks.
• Respond in a timely manner to client- or internal-reported events, perform troubleshooting within established procedures, provide a post-event analysis, and work with clients, vendor, and internal teams to manage threats and issues.
• Ensure implemented solutions are meeting expectations and assist with product maintenance and lifecycle management.
• Maintain and contribute to best practices within the organization, including, but not limited to our technology practice groups, knowledge base or documentation library, and assigned committees. Continuously update the company’s documentation and supporting procedures.
• Assist with assessments through audit, discovery, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis as needed.
• Gain an understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) including updates, organizational impacts, and practical use.
• Accurately maintain and comply with documentation, communication, time entry, and administrative procedures in a timely manner.
• Participate in on-call and after hours work as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Undergraduate student enrolled or recent graduate in a Cyber Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience with security concepts and technologies
• Ability to work full-time onsite (40 hours/week M-F) during summer 2023
• Able and willing to live within commutable distance to either the Minnetonka, MN or St. Cloud Marco office locations
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
• Occasional travel is required via automobile and includes travel to different Marco, client, and vendor locations.
