Join our dynamic team at ManTech, where innovation meets excellence in the realm of advanced engineering. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Specialist to join our team part-time in Virginia Beach, VA.  

Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide IT support to customer and team. You will assist with hardware and/or software setup, diagnosing connectivity, and data access issues.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Strong knowledge of Information Technology (IT) policy and compliance methodology

• Have an in-depth knowledge of computer services, procedures, products, and systems

• Serve as the initial point of contact for end-users, responding to their inquiries, incidents, and service requests

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and problem-solving techniques to determine root-cause in a professional manner

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT hardware and software issues efficiently

• Performs varied research and periodical searches to identify current trends in information systems, hardware, software, and training

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Systems, or other related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing IT related customer support with installation, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software assets or seven (7) years of related experience in leu of degree

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

• CompTIA (A+, Cloud+, Security+)

Clearance Requirements:

• Current and active Secret Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

• Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

• May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
