Job Description

VM Components manufacturing in Bosch Charleston occurs on short cycle time machines. These assembly lines produce components which are used to produce ESP and IPB finished goods. These highly automated machines require continuous support from driven individuals that are able to learn varied technologies and provide assistance when necessary.

This role will assist in ensuring Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery metrics are accomplished through through various means of troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follow plant safety and environmental policies, and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Ensure quality specifications are being met.
• Lead other associates on the shop floor.
• Assist with machine troubleshooting and repair.
• Root cause identification and correction.
• Monitor equipment.
• Set up spare parts, optimize PMs, keep process parameters updated
• Identify best practices and create standards combining available information & knowledge.
• Initiative to seek out new challenges and address them.
• Utilize plant systems e.g. SAP, Promaster, etc.
• Utilize Microsoft Office products.

INTERACTION
This position interacts with Operators, Operational Technicians, Special Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers and leadership.

Qualifications

Individual must be mechanically and electronically inclined. 2 years minimum of manufacturing industry experience is required. Additional qualifications are listed below.

Qualifications

• MS Office product experience is required.
• Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment is required.
• Clear communications skills are required.
• Experience with micro-controllers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi) is a plus.
• Mechatronics background is a plus.
• Previous experience in self-managed technical team is a plus.
• Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic systems is a plus
• Evidence of a self-starter is a plus.
• Experience with short cycle time machines ie 1 part / sec is a plus
• Experience with vision systems is a plus.
• Previous experience in self-managed technical team is a plus
