About the Role: Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 firm and the leading immigration services provider, is seeking a key addition to our Strategic Initiatives Office (SIO): SIO Director. Fragomen’s Strategic Initiatives Office focuses on exciting challenges, including product commercialization, go-to-market strategy, market analysis, and internal advisory/consulting. The SIO Director will lead cross functional strategic initiatives, assist in integration planning, and work on new ventures. A strong candidate will have prior related experience, exceptional communication skills, and ability to build relationships with internal and external senior leaders. The SIO Director will work closely with a Senior Director and executive leadership in creating value for the firm, building upon existing structure and initiatives.

How will you make a difference as a Strategic Initiatives Office Director at Fragomen?

  • Lead product commercialization efforts and go-to-market (GTM) strategy, in collaboration with other SIO and business leadership
  • Facilitates consensus building among SIO stakeholders and organizational leadership
  • Foster a project-management-oriented culture and mindset
  • Engage senior leadership and business partners to advance the SIO mission, goals and operating model
  • Improve delivery via project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines, standards, and a maturity roadmap to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders
  • Lead the identification, implementation, and facilitation of portfolio management processes and governance, including the intake mechanism, to ensure adherence to the enterprise strategy and drive business value
  • Assist in managing the enterprise roadmap aligned to enterprise strategic initiatives
  • Leverage best practices and techniques in identifying, quantifying and tracking the realization of expected benefits defined in business cases
  • Identify, develop, implement, and monitor project and portfolio KPIs, metrics, leading indicators, project trending, executive presentations, and portfolio status reports
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to SIO staff and project managers
  • Build and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Foster collaboration, strategic alignment and integrated planning and execution across multiple functions in a matrixed organization.
  • Evaluate the management of a project and identify the areas (Business Case including Financial Model, ROI, Scope, Staff, Resource, Schedule, Risk and Finance) that either require additional definition or are not being sufficiently managed.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required

Leverage your valuable skills and experience to make an impact at Fragomen:

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree in a business-related disciple is preferred
  • Go-to-market (GTM) experience, especially as related to product commercialization and digital services
  • Expertise in delivering technology-driven services
  • 10+ years of relevant project and program management experience
  • 5+ years of building or transforming businesses
  • Proficient knowledge of law firms preferred
  • M&A or private equity experience may be beneficial
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources
  • Portfolio, Program and Project Management skills and experience, plus significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application, such as Clarity and MS Project Server
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate a strategic vision, and inspire and motivate others
  • Strategic mindset to evolve an organization focused on portfolio, program, and project management and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and anticipate the needs of a changing landscape
