We’re looking for two Case Aides to join our team.
We are currently seeking a Case Aid (Social Service Assistant) to join our team at our Midtown Portland office, located at 815 NE Davis St.
Summary of Duties
As a Case Aid, you will:
Provide administrative support to caseworkers by assisting administrative tasks like case notes, documentation, and coordination of appointments and forms for families.
Gather and enter information from collateral contacts into the agency’s electronic system.
Supervise initial visits for children in foster care and facilitate transportation and family visitations.
Assist in locating relatives for parent searches, placements, or safety service providers.
Support caseworkers with home visits, client contacts, and transportation of clients, medications, and ensure children in care meet medical and mental health assessment timelines.
Communicate with community partners to coordinate resources and support for children and families, maintaining a resource spreadsheet by neighborhood or school district.
Attend case-related meetings, staffing, and conferences to support casework activities.
Assist with risk and safety assessments and help engage children in temporary placements.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting;
OR
An associate degree in any field;
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
Experience working in Human Services or Social Services.
Experience provides various levels of supervision and support for children and families.
Experience engaging and building rapport with children, families, and community partners.
Demonstrated documentation skills, including correct grammar and ability to proofread their work.
Demonstrated computer experience that includes, operating computer software, learning new software, and typing.
