Job Description -
We are looking for a seasoned Product Owner/ Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Life Insurance and Annuity business processes.
The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert SME bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high impact solutions that align with regulatory requirements and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a domain expert in Annuities including product structures policy administration claims underwriting and regulatory compliance
- Elicit analyze and document business requirements process flows and system interactions
- Collaborate with product owners actuaries underwriters and IT teams to define and prioritize business needs
- Translate complex insurance and annuity concepts into clear actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
- Support the development and implementation of new insurance products and enhancements to existing systems
- Conduct gap analysis root cause analysis and impact assessments for business process changes
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather insights and validate requirements
- Ensure solutions meet business goals compliance standards and customer expectations
- Assist in user acceptance testing UAT training and postimplementation support
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Life Insurance and Annuity domain Strong understanding of annuity products eg fixed variable indexed etc
- policy lifecycle and regulatory frameworks eg NAIC DOL fiduciary rules
- Proven experience in business process modeling requirements gathering and documentation
- Familiarity with insurance platforms such as Admin systems or similar
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in tools like JIRA Confluence Visio and MS Office Suite
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance Insurance or a related field
- Certifications such as LOMA eg FLMI ARA or Agile certifications eg CSPO PMIACP
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 90000- 120000

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
