What You Will Do:
We are currently seeking an experienced Software Asset Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the day to day administration of our global software portfolio. This position requires someone who has experience in the operational concepts/procedures of IT Software Lifecycle Management. This includes budgeting, quoting/requisitioning, contract and license/subscription management, renewals/retirements as well as partnering with the IT End Point Team for deployments.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Lead the lifecycle management of software licenses and subscriptions through quoting, PO processing and invoice reconciliation
Partner with Procurement team to execute software contract negotiations (Renewals and New Acquisitions)
Maintain the IT budget with forecasting, actuals and charge backs with respect to all software line items
Identify savings opportunities for maintenance & software licensing
Partner with IT Asset Manager to correctly reflect the complete lifecycle of all IT software contracts/licenses/subscriptions in the system of record
Lead the Software Standardization process of vetting new software titles requested for use by company employees
Oversee the End User request process for installing approved software packages onto company endpoint devices
Uphold and promote the value of Software asset management policies, processes and procedures within the organization to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s Degree, plus 7 years of experience OR 11 years of experience in lieu of degree
7+ Years Experience with Software Asset Management
4+ Years Experience with Microsoft Licensing and Portal Administration
5+ years of Vendor Management experience
Basic understanding of IT Infrastructure in a Corporate Environment
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
PC proficiency to include MS Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint
ServiceNow Incident, Contract and Asset Module experience
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or IT related field
Preference will be given to candidates who are located within 50 miles of a Guidehouse office
