Who

Truleo is hiring for a Data Scientist who will support our data initiatives around increasing efficiency, improving customer experience, and driving profitability. The ideal candidate will be excited at the prospect of turning disparate data points into objective answers that readily advise our clients as well as inform our most sensitive business and operational decisions. You will report to the chief data officer.

What You’ll Do

• Leverage database and programming skills for data collection and preparation.
• Collaborate closely with developers, solution architects, and business process analysts to deliver data and automation solutions and extract valuable insights that will have practical business impact.
• Identify trends and business solutions by continuously applying advanced analytics methods and algorithms.
• Manage end-to-end analytics efforts, including data processing and reporting.
• Use statistical software applications such as SPSS, SAS, and R to explore and analyze different data sets as well as build and test hypotheses.
• Provide data solutions as reusable components/offerings for various customer teams.

Who You Are

• You have a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., data science; computer science; statistics; analytics) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience with data analysis, data cleaning, data exploration, data mining, and/or data visualization.
• You have deep expertise in experimentation, analytics, and advanced modeling.
• You have practical experience with statistical concepts and their application in causal inference, A/B testing, etc.
• You have extensive experience with managing large, diverse data sources.
• You have proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, SQL, Java, or Julia.
• You are action-oriented and open to taking on new challenges and opportunities with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You are comfortable with actively seeking opportunities for self-development through formal and informal channels.
• You can produce high-quality work on quick timelines and with little supervision.
