About the role

Domain Architect NM SON (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ

  • Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption and perform installation, and software upgrades of self-optimizing network (SON) products. 

  • Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks. 

  • Serve as an interface between customers, technical support, and development teams. 

  • Develop and evaluate effective solutions focusing on SON systems to meet customer’s requirements and outcomes.

  • Troubleshoot issues, identify risks, determine technical escalation steps, and communicate updates to key stakeholders.

  • Provide on-site support with diagnosis and resolve SON software and hardware issues utilizing 3GPP wireless tools/ Implement proactive measures to address customer concerns and to ensure solution feasibility of the network solution. 

  • Accountable for quality and accuracy of own output. 

  • Responsible for contribution to teamwork. 

  • Carry out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines. 

  • Demonstrate initiative and adaptability to changing business environments. #LI-DNI

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience

 

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: 

 

  • Operative Systems (OS) Linux/Unix/Windows and advanced features including LDAP, Active Directory, and Clustering; 

  • L2 and L3 IP architectures and network models; 

  • Networking troubleshooting on switches and routers for Telecom solutions; and 

  • Programming Languages: C/ C++ and Python for Mobile Network Automation and Operations.

 

Domestic travel required up to 30%.

International travel required up to 10%.

Telecommuting may be permitted up to 100% anywhere in the US.
