Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities: This position reports to the VP of Software Development.

• Design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software applications

• Demonstrates understanding of departmental procedures, programming standards, and all pertinent training materials

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision well as collaborate in a team setting

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project and ensure the highest quality code

• Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, code quality automation and support continuous integration process

• Review and debug code

• Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions

• Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing

• Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities

• Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes

• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance

• Work on core database structures and designs

• Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Qualifications/Requirements: This job requires attentions to detail and the ability to multitask, excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant field is required.
• Minimum 7 years of programming experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of .NET CORE, EF Core, .NET 8 or above, .NET Framework 3.5 or above with C# (7+ Years)
• In-depth knowledge of ASP.NET MVC (5+ Years)
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, procedures in SQL Server 2008 (or later)(5+ Years)
• Experience with Telerik MVC or Kendo UI preferred.
• Working knowledge with ASP.NET Web Forms, TFS, Entity Framework, SSRS, SAP Crystal reports, jQuery, AngularJS, SOAP, and REST API
• Knowledge of unit and integration tests is a plus
• Knowledge of any warehouse management system, order fulfillment systems, EDI systems desirable
