PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Hiring Salary: $23.08 - $28.85/hour

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform billing, credit and collections functions
- Assist with processing application processing for Aurora Water Cares assistance program
- Providing customer service and responding to inquiries in-person, over the phone, and electronically
- Perform accounting support work involving the review, balancing, and reconciliation of various financial data
- Responsibilities may include entering data, payment into financial systems and customer accounts
- Creates and reviews various financial reports and dashboards for KPI and various metrics
- Writes reports from various software applications for data retrieval
- Communicates and resolves related issues
- Reviewing documents for compliance with applicable policies and procedures
- Compiling and generating reports; providing customer service and responding to inquiries
- Review and maintain records within different financial systems
- Preparing and processing data uploads
- Conducting research into area issues
- Review data trends and make predictions utilizing different data sources
- Responding to inquiries and issues
- Making and documenting adjustments to accounts
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must have excellent customer services skills, a positive attitude, and be able to work with various work group levels and other departments within the city
- Operates a variety of office equipment including personal computer with varied software
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree in finance, business, office administration or directly related field preferred.
Experience:
- At least two (2) years increasingly responsible financial and administrative support experience
- Minimum intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Experience using a multi-line phone line preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of standard office procedures.
- General business practices.
- Report formatting and records maintenance.
- Office management principles.
- Personal computers including word processing, database, and spreadsheet software application program.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills over the phone and in-person.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Skill in operating a personal computer with related software.
- Efficiently and accurately key information using a keyboard.
Abilities:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, citizens, and elected officials.
