Creating design packages under the guidance of the Design Engineers including floor plans with equipment layouts, device elevations, riser diagrams and point to point wiring diagrams.
The CAD Engineer works primarily within the design team regularly communicating with Regional Design Engineers and Design Engineers. The global design canter provides support to three regions in AMER, APAC and EMEA with a three-shift pattern covering the local time zones. The goal is a comprehensive security design that is the basis for a security project scope.
Responsibilities
Create accurate design packages that include plans, BOM’s, single line diagrams, elevations, and device details
Maintain client security standards and Northland drawing standards in all delivered work
Regularly update Regional Design Engineers on any issues on design request requirements and client standards
Self-checking for Quality Assurance / Quality Control of the produced design content and presentation before submission for final approval
Self-manage work load of assigned drawing requests to meet design log and project deadlines.
Provide clear, concise communications in a timely manner at all stages of a design request to the assigned Regional Design Engineer
Maintain the design log, client portfolios and client share point sites with up to date design information
Complete accurate time sheets, allocating only time spent on request to live projects for any work completed
Qualifications
Design and coordination experience working with multi region teams
Basic electrical or electronic knowledge and able to read and understand circuit diagrams
Proficient in 2D use of AutoCAD 2018 or later

Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong attention to detail
Effective organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Self-motivated and directed
QualificationsRequired Education/Experience
Professional Certificate, NiTec Diploma or Graduate in electrical or electronic engineering
Direct Reports
This position holds no formal supervisory authority, is responsible for reporting insights to colleagues and management.
Work Environment
This position is office based, flexible working may be considered at the discretion and approval of management
Expected Hours
This is a full-time position, 40 hours a work week, the below shift times are in place on a monthly rotating basis.
Shift 1: 08:30 – 17:30 Shift 2: 14:30 – 23:30 Shift 3: 21:30 – 06:30
Travel
This position may require travel on occasion up to 20% of the time for training and some job duties.
