Description

The Senior Manager of Infrastructure is responsible for strategically leading a team of technical engineers in supporting a large enterprise environment. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive short- and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives, recruiting and retaining top talent, establishing and enforcing robust policies and procedures, and continuously monitoring the performance of server systems to ensure they are secure, highly available, and performant. The Senior Manager collaborates with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to drive strategic infrastructure initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence.

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

 

Leadership & Strategic Planning:

  • Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to a team of technical engineers
  • Develop and implement strategic goals aligned with organizational objectives
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the infrastructure team

Infrastructure Strategy & Execution:

  • Define and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy to support enterprise scalability and security
  • Lead high-impact infrastructure projects and initiatives to enhance system capabilities
  • Ensure high availability, security, and performance of enterprise infrastructure systems

Talent Management & Team Development:

  • Recruit, retain, and develop staff to maintain a high-performing infrastructure team
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
  • Build a diverse and inclusive technical team that supports the organization's long-term success

Policies, Procedures, & Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish and enforce advanced policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for infrastructure operations
  • Rigorously monitor the operations and performance of server systems to ensure security, high availability, and optimal performance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and cybersecurity best practices

Technical Problem-Solving & Risk Management:

  • Proactively coordinate and resolve complex technical issues to minimize service disruptions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to implement scalable infrastructure solutions
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to infrastructure operations and security

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategies with business needs
  • Provide expert guidance on technology investments and long-term infrastructure planning
  • Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting emerging technologies that enhance enterprise operations

MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in infrastructure management, with a proven track record of managing complex systems and leading technical teams in a large enterprise environment

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategic goals and initiatives
  • Expertise in enterprise infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud technologies
  • Experience managing mission-critical, geographically dispersed infrastructure environments
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, compliance, and risk management 
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred Qualifications 
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and enterprise service management
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architec
