Part-Time Elementary Music Teacher

St. Thomas Catholic School is seeking a faithful, enthusiastic, and dedicated part-time Elementary Music Teacher to nurture a love of music in students through engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for music and Catholic education to our PreK-5th grade students. What You Will Do:

• Integrate the Catholic faith and values into music instruction and performance selections
• Plan and implement engaging music lessons aligned with both academic and liturgical goals
• Teach general music classes to elementary students (PreK-5th) that include singing, rhythm, movement, and basic music theory
• Introduce students to a variety of musical styles and genres while fostering creativity and musical growth
• Help prepare students for the Christmas program and end of year Fun Day worship
• Foster a positive, faith-filled classroom environment rooted in respect, joy, and creativity
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to support student learning and school-wide events
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Maintain a structured, organized, and welcoming classroom space

Schedule and Position Details:

• Part-Time Elementary Music Teacher
• Hours: Between 2-4 hours a day (flexible schedule)
• Duration: For the 2026-2027 school year

What You Need:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related, relevant field
• Experience teaching music in a school, church, or private setting
• Demonstrated ability to lead music classes and student performances

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Familiarity with liturgical music and Catholic Mass planning
• Ability to play piano or another accompaniment instrument
• Experience working with elementary students across various age groups
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
