Opportunity Highlights

• Richard DeVos Heart and Lung Transplant program started in 2010 and has completed 225 heart, 370 lung, and 529 durable LVADs to date
• Largest open heart surgery program in Michigan with 1,600 open heart surgery procedures, 400 TAVRs, 120 ECMO/year
• Opportunity to function as a dedicated organ procurement surgeon in support of the Heart and Lung Transplant programs

Preferred Qualifications

• BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon (or Board Eligible) American Board of Thoracic Surgery or Equivalent
• Heart and lung procurement experience preferred, but not required
• Cardiothoracic Surgery Training

Requirements

• Able to obtain a full unrestricted Michigan license
• Required bachelor's degree

• LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
• LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required
