What role you will play in our team

 

This Internship Program provides you the chance to gain hands-on experience at the world`s leading energy company, enabling you to immediately apply your skills in a real business environment. This internship is intended to qualify with & fulfill university work attachment requirements.

You will contribute to the growth and future of our business, as we provide energy, sustainable products, and solutions for society. 

You will be given an opportunity to prove yourself through challenging assignments and you will gain valuable work experience, skills, and knowledge that will take you a long way in your future career.

In addition, a mentoring program and an attractive internship assignment are offered to support your development and help you succeed.

What we are looking

• If you are a Guyanese citizen, undergraduate student from 3rd and 4th year and would like to join one of our teams in either:
  Upstream, Wells, Projects, Production, Geoscience, Information Technology, Finance, Public & Government Affairs, Supply Chain or Procurement, we have the opportunity for you
  
  
• Students from the following disciplines:
  Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience & Applied Geology, Environmental Sciences, Finance & Accounting, Business Economics, Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Computer Science/Information Systems/Information Technology, Social Sciences, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
  
  
• Availability to commit to a three-month internship experience (June to August).
  
  
• Responsible and proactive candidates with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills who want to take their first steps in a multinational company.
  
  

What you will do

 

At ExxonMobil, we prioritize continuous learning and development, offering interns on-the-job training and coaching from experienced supervisors for a comprehensive growth experience.
Beyond that, you won’t be doing it alone as you will support from the business who can help you navigate the organization, give advice on your development & help you learn what it takes to achieve your goals. 
 
As part of the internship, you’ll have a formal final review on project delivery and performance by your supervisor. You’ll also be asked to prepare a final presentation or report out about your project. 
 
An internship with us can also kickstart your career, as your performance will be assessed, and outstanding candidates may be considered for full-time employment post-graduation. We prioritize our employment offers to outstanding candidates on our internship program over those without ExxonMobil internship experience.
