What You’ll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
Maintain responsibility for the installation, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical and electrical processes used in the manufacture of mattresses, mattress components, and similar bedding products. Such equipment may include: sewing equipment, foam fabrication equipment, motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc.
Manage and maximize the output of plant equipment used in production, functional longevity, and aesthetic of the products.
Plan, delegate, and perform work that requires a thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles, written specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and the principles of operation and application for electronic equipment.
Directly manage all maintenance staff, contractors, OEM’s to ensure safety, timely production, and completion of their projects.
Collaborate with Plant Director and Department Supervisors to ensure successful accomplishment of the site’s production needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need (Qualifications):
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).
2 years of experience with a demonstrated understanding of manufacturing, mechanical, and electrical systems, including: hydraulic systems, HVAC, low- and high-pressure-pumps, open and closed loop piping systems, and PLC’s.
Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated experience with computer maintenance management systems.
Arc flash, HAZWOPER, and forklift operator’s certifications, or the ability to obtain the certifications.
Certificates or licenses in electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, boilers, or PLC Controls are preferred.
