The Team

The Strategy team works in a highly cross functional manner within the company, focusing on high-impact strategic projects and analyses. The Strategy Team’s goal is to inform leadership on where the industry is headed, and how Kraken can deliver the greatest value over the long-term.

We seek a candidate who combines deep crypto expertise with an intuitive grasp of best business practices. In this role, you will use your analytical skills to navigate complex challenges and formulate conclusions through creative means. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will be responsible for coordinating with the team to shape Kraken’s strategy by exploring new growth initiatives, executing on critical projects, and generating actionable insights to support leadership in decision-making. You should be ambitious and excited by the challenge of solving difficult, ambiguous problems. Additionally, you should enjoy taking the initiative to complete projects.

The Opportunity

• Strategy Formation: Collaborate with the Head of Strategy to chart Kraken’s strategic direction, and articulate strategic priorities and project-based recommendations for Kraken’s leadership team

• Market Research & Analysis: Regularly conduct internal strategic analyses to support executive decision-making, and analyze all dimensions of the cryptocurrency ecosystem to develop perspectives on opportunities and risks

• Leadership and Influence: Lead initiatives and persuasively advocate for your ideas across all key areas of the business, including Product, Business Operations, Regional Operations, Business Development, Corporate Development, and Marketing

• Communication: Clearly articulate your findings and recommendations verbally and in concise, written reports

Skills You Should HODL

• Experience: 5+ years in highly analytical roles, including but not limited to: founding a company, corporate strategy, consulting, product management, corporate and/or business development, or operations, preferably at a crypto or high-growth technology company

• Crypto Expertise: You possess extensive knowledge of crypto, actively and frequently engaging with crypto products or services

• Mission-Oriented: You are deeply aligned with Kraken’s mission of accelerating crypto adoption globally

• Proactive and Independent: You
