Software Engineer - Cloud Platform Security

About Team & About Role:

RSC (Rubrik Security Cloud) is the SaaS control plane for Rubrik. Our mission is to build a highly scalable, reliable and secure cloud data management platform for the largest enterprises in the world. 

As an engineer on the RSC Platform team, you’ll be working on the fundamental infrastructure components that all other RSC product teams at Rubrik build upon, including our microservices architecture, Kubernetes deployment system, distributed job workflow engine, database instances(Mysql) and platform cloud security. This is an exciting time to join as we are constantly improving and innovating on each of our core layers - Kubernetes services, distributed job framework, MySQL and security.

Scalability: As a high-growth company, we have seen a huge growth year over year. This is accompanied by the number of Rubrik engineers whom we support. As a result, our team is constantly re-imagining and engineering our platform infrastructure to support this growth.

Stability: Stability around the clock is our top-most concern. We think about reliability at every layer of the stack, from individual infrastructure systems to the reliability of services owned by product teams at Rubrik.

Security: Security is an essential pillar of our operations. As we scale and focus on stability, we ensure that our infrastructure and services are secure against threats and vulnerabilities. This includes implementing robust security protocols, regular audits, and real-time monitoring to protect our data and systems. We prioritize securing our environment to maintain the trust and safety of our users and stakeholders.

 

What You’ll Do: 

Rubrik Software Engineers are self-starters, driven, and can manage themselves. We believe in giving engineers responsibility, not tasks. • Build our platforms, systems, and infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems and large-scale storage systems.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve the software.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise.
• Identify and solve bottlenecks within our software stack. 

 

Experience You’ll Need: 

• A BS/BA degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Go, Scala

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualifications - nice to haves 

• Experience architecting and developing large-scale systems.
• Prior experience working with the databases (preferably Mysql)
• Experience working with GCP, AWS, Kubernetes. 

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US Pay Range$126,500—$189,700 USD
