As a Senior Engineering Manager at Brightway, you'll have the opportunity to shape the technical vision and roadmap of a growing company. You'll lead talented engineers, leverage the latest technologies, and serve as a key leader, directly presenting ideas and strategies to executive leadership to drive meaningful business impact.

Guide and mentor engineering teams through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices to maintain high standards.

Measure performance and provide meaningful feedback to support the growth of team members.

Manage and support remote and/or in-office team members, fostering strong collaboration across distributed teams.

Drive a development process and culture that maximizes team productivity, user satisfaction, and business outcomes.

Present technical ideas and strategies directly to executive leadership with consideration to cost, complexity, team skillset, future scalability, and many other factors.

Contribute to the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap of a growing company.
Skills, Licenses, Certifications
-
5+years of experience managing technical teams, with a strong track record of delivering successful software projects using a combination of on-shore and off- shore team members.

Expertise in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, or C#. Expertise in Agile methodologies. Strong experience in either Azure or AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills—you can translate complex technical topics for both engineers and executives.

A high-energy, results-driven mindset with the ability to inspire and engage teams.

Ability to adapt to change, with experience navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in an iterative environment.

Experience in the insurance or financial industry is a plus.
