About the role


Job Title: Master Driver Training Qualification Course Instructor

Duties:

  • Provide academic instruction to conduct classroom and practical exercises in accordance with course materials, program of instruction, technical manuals, and student workbooks.
  • Instruct the hands-on Vehicle Control Test portion of the POI for the Master Driver Training Qualification Course, including but not limited to over the road test evaluation; setting up vehicle maneuver lanes; negotiating a left turn and right turn, straight line backing, serpentine road course, and alley docking.
  • Assist in developing training materials including lesson plans, presentations, student handouts, and testing materials.
  • Prepare classrooms and training areas as well as training materials for classroom instruction.
  • Support resident and distance learning instruction using Blackboard, MS Teams, and Mobile Training Teams.
  • May be required to travel within continental US and outside the country.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Possess a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Experienced and proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) and ADOBE Acrobat Pro, required skills to access and use required training tools.
  • Possess the ability to prepare correspondence that is grammatically correct and conforms to local format.
  • Completed the Common Faculty Development Program – Instructor Course (CFDP-IC) within the last five (5) years IAW TR 350-6 and TR 350-70 or have the ability to complete it and shall complete it at the first available Government scheduled course.
  • Perform moderate lifting (not to exceed 45 lbs.) along with long periods of standing, sitting, or walking. Be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions, such as snow, sleet, fog, humidity, dust, wind and pollen and in extreme weather as low as 10ºF and as high as 110ºF for the entire workday.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess at least two (2) years’ experience in Drivers Training for Army-wheeled vehicles.
  • Possess a minimum of one (1) year experience in teaching, developing or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals for the MDTQCC.
  • Possess experience as an instructor in a military service school environment for at least one (1) year.

Work Environment: This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time while delivering training.
  • Be able to maneuver in and out of strategic and tactical equipment, and capable of lifting and moving electronic equipment in excess of 40lbs in and out of classrooms and labs.

Travel:  Minimal travel for corporate support is expected for this position.
