Responsibilities
- You will process initial, endorsement, renewal, and/or reinstatement applications for assigned boards/panels (via paper and online), utilizing applicable databases and software.
- You will process paperwork, update applicable systems, track and scan documents, and assist in processing criminal background check (CBC) reports for all assigned boards.
- You will provide administrative support duties for reporting disciplinary actions and posting board orders and in conducting continuing education audits.
- You will respond to customer inquiries received through walk-ins, telephone calls, e-mails, and other methods providing timely and accurate responses to the assigned boards/panels application and licensing requirements and processes.
- You will perform a variety of other administrative and technical functions such as assisting with Board meetings, preparing correspondence, minutes, reports, and travel documents, records retention, FOIA requests, online verifications, and ordering supplies.
Examples of duties
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
- MANDATORY: Must be able to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check and be vetted by SLED Criminal Justice Information Services.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma and three (3) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
- Ability to understand and follow routine and complex instructions.
- Considerable skill in the use of office equipment, computers, and software.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of office management and general administrative functions.
Other Requirements
- Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
- May require occasional work outside of normal office hours.
- May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
