Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Lead Information Security Analyst in Jacksonville, FL.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Lead Information Security Analyst will develop and oversee the implementation of information security procedures and policies. Define innovative preventative, detective, and monitoring mechanisms to enable security at scale. Utilize MITRE ATT&CK framework to map adversary behaviors and develop hunt strategies. Identify and hunt for advanced cyberthreats using a variety of threat detection tools. Work with multiple ISS teams to continuously improve security posture through identification of gaps in defense and recommend improvements to security policies, tools, and practices. Perform threat hunts in cloud environment utilizing knowledge of different cloud providers and knowledge of the bank cloud assets. Integrate new AI powered technologies that can contribute to development of team capabilities. Design and implement security controls to identify vulnerabilities and protect infrastructure. Research and stay informed on emerging threats, tactics, techniques and procedures. Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate, contain and mitigate cyberattacks providing actionable insights. Collaborate with Breach and Attach Simulation team to validate available telemetry for detection of attacker TTPS and new detection strategies. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Security, Information Technology or Cybersecurity, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a threat hunting specialist, security engineer, security consultant, or related.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of experience with each of the following: (a) developing detection analytics using MITRE ATT&CK; (b) monitoring and analyzing SIEM/ Analytics based alerts using Splunk; (c) Host based log analysis in Windows, AV, and EDR; (d) Network based log analysis using Proxy, IDS, IPS, and NDR; (e) conducting, developing, and analyzing user behavior, incident response, and attack pattern identification; (f) conducting visibility gap identification and analysis; and (g) using an Endpoint Detection and Response tool such as Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, Cortex XDR Pro, Microsoft Defender XDR or similar. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $131,331 - $164,100. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
