Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist will process all accounts payable transactions correctly and timely including vendor invoices and various other transactions.  They should be capable of keying in invoices, matching invoices to purchase orders, and assigning appropriate GL codes.

Job duties to include but are not limited to;

• Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
• Other duties assigned.

Qualifications

Education: HS Diploma or equivalent and accounting certification

Preferred education: Accounting degree

Experience: 1-3 years of experience with accounts payable, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• SAP
• Microsoft Office Suite

Background:                

This position may require Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and vetting via the TSA. If required, applicant must successfully pass a federal background investigation.
This position may require a U.S. Personal Security Clearance.

The compensation for this position ranges from $37,421 - $56,131/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
