THE ROLE
AG1 is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, ambitious Senior Accountant to join the accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to internal and external accounting practices and efficient management of the day to day accounting activities. Key responsibilities include management and maintenance of general ledger entries, contributing to month-end close processes, assisting with cash flow forecasting and management, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, and other related financial activities. As the Senior Accountant, you will be an integral part of the accounting and wider finance team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Review coding of AP invoices entered in Tipalti and Netsuite for appropriate GL account, department and country codes.
- Manage and track/enter employee expenses, and credit card expenses.
- Review and post bank account activity (cash receipts / payments).
- Assist with cash management activities including cash forecasting and AP payment process.
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and post adjustments as needed.
- Create manual journal entries (accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses), prepare and post other recurring journal entries (audit and legal, etc), update fixed asset file & record depreciation expense.
- Post intercompany journal entries, intercompany inventory sales and inventory transfers such that intercompany accounts eliminate appropriately.
- Reconcile intercompany P&L and B&S accounts for proper elimination.
- Record revenue entries - undeposited funds (accounts receivable), sales returns reserves and deferred revenue.
- Perform expense tracking analysis - accrue expenses.
- Coordinate with auditors for timely and accurate completion of all audits.
- Prepare monthly cash bucket reporting for global cash inflows and outflows.
Project-Based Responsibilities:
- Working with the other departments to ensure invoicing and change orders are processed accurately.
- Additional ad hoc finance and budgeting tasks.
- Support the accounting team with ad hoc projects and assignments as necessary, to drive outcomes for the team and for the business.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4-6 years of Accounting experience - can be a mix of public accounting and private industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA or currently pursuing CPA, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting distribution and ability to verify correctness and completeness of such information.
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and ability to execute and lead the day to day accounting and reporting function in accordance with GAAP.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of attention to detail with desire to take ownership in a results oriented environment.
- Strong integrity and trust, with a track record of performing reliable and accurate work.
