Summary

The Software Engineer will help design and implement features in a cloud-based web architecture as part of a development team. The Software Engineer is expected to be results/outcome-driven and self-motivated, and he or she should have experience with JavaScript and software engineering principles.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Write and deploy quality production code in a cloud-based micro service architecture

• Write unit tests and work with QA team to ensure quality testing

• Stay current with industry developments and new trends

• Communicate and collaborate with QA and Development on tasks

• Adhere to Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering and in JavaScript, with experience in full stack development

• Experience with one of more server-side technologies: Node.js, Jav

• Experience with one of more architectural patterns: MVC, MVVM, Flux

• Experience with one of more build tools: Webpack, Gulp, Babel

• Demonstrable understanding of scalability and availability in distributed systems

• Working experience with REST API back-end services

• Familiarity with NoSQL solutions

• Experience with Linux operating environments

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related work experience

The ideal candidate would also have experience with:

• Amazon Web Services (Dynamo, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.)

• Typescript

• React/Redux

• Git

• Jenkins

• Node

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$87,100.00 - $170,900.00
