Facilities Maintenance Associate

Description

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for maintaining beautiful spaces? Homestead Gardens is looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Associate to help keep our grounds, facilities, and equipment in top condition. This role works closely with the Facility/Maintenance Manager and supports delivery driver services as needed.  

Requirements

• Perform maintenance tasks such as mowing, landscaping, plumbing, general construction, and light electrical work.  
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and machinery.  
• Engage in physical labor across various environments, including office spaces, greenhouses, and outdoor areas, in all weather conditions.  
• Lead grounds projects like event tent construction, seasonal plantings, festival setup, and holiday decorating.  
• Complete routine tasks such as waste collection and farm animal feeding.  
• Safely lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly.  
• Conduct maintenance at various heights, including rooftops and elevated areas.  
• Maintain a clean and organized property, including materials, tools, and equipment.  
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe work practices.  
• Offer schedule flexibility for emergency situations and occasional overtime.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in landscaping is strongly preferred.  
• Background in facilities maintenance or a related field.  
• Proficiency in using various maintenance tools and equipment.  
• Must be 21 years of age or older.  
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus but not required.
