Provides Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) under the guidance and supervision of the BCBA-D. The RBT provides clinical services. They maintain a credential as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).Education & Experience
High school diploma/GED and certification as a registered behavioral technician. Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting working with children with educational, communication, or behavioral difficulties preferred.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Valid Registered Behavioral Technician through Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Human Behavior. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to react calmly in emergency situations. Ability to form and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with patients. Ability to work well in a team atmosphere and collaborate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Data collection and measurement procedures.
- Assists with Functional Assessment procedures.
- Implements Skill Acquisition with ASD children.
- Implements Behavior Reduction Procedures.
- Effectively communicates with supervisor throughout treatment.
- Generates session notes and complies with applicable legal, regulatory and workplace documentation standards.
