Job Summary
Comcast Advertising is searching for a highly qualified VP of Strategic Initiatives to work closely with our executive team. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration.The VP, Strategic Initiatives will support the President of Advertising by using strong leadership and problem-solving skills to assist with the daily operation of an organization.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Overseeing execution cross-business unit of business initiatives / special projects from ideation to implementation.
- Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities both in support of a business unit and across business units.
- Collaborating with executive team members to determine and prioritize business strategies.
- Identifying and providing recommendations on improvements across the organization.
- Assessing risk when business decisions are made.
- Determining key performance indicators and how to measure team performance.
- Working with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals.
- Supporting the creation, execution, and performance monitoring of annual operating plans, annual budgets, quarterly business reviews and long range plan.
- Planning, coordinating and leading meetings, workshops and offsites.
- Responding to inquiries on behalf of the President, Advertising.
- Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
Professional Experience & Qualifications:
- Seven or more years of experience in a business management or executive role.
- Fifteen or more year of experience in TV/Video business and advertising.
- Strategic analysis and business modeling experience.
- Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
- Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field.
- Experience in data analysis and budget management.
- Consulting experience, with a focus on strategy.
- Proven success in a project coordination role.
- Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions.
- Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications.
- Excellent organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Compensation
Primary Location Pay Range: $250,313.92 - $375,470.88Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
