This is a full-time salaried position: Monday – Friday, 1st shift.
The Senior Manager, Contract Management serves as a strategic business partner to our Business Development and Legal organizations. The Senior Manager, Contract Management will support the development and execution of contracts (including but not limited to development, licensing and commercial agreements) with new and existing customers ensuring Catalent has strong, profitable contracts with business terms that align with guidelines and represent a win-win for Catalent and our customers. This role requires an individual who understands and has significant experience in contracting and negotiating.
The Senior Manager, Contract Management, is also accountable for organizing internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, Legal and supporting functions across the global Catalent organization to provide for long-term sustainable contracts. This person will also drive specific, cross-Catalent initiatives targeted on continuous
improvement of the contracting and negotiating process..

The Role:
Negotiate a variety of contracts (including but not limited to development, licensing and commercial agreements) in partnership with Business Development, Legal and other functional leads to achieve timely deal closure and growth expectations
Develop and manage licensing and technology based contracting in partnership with key business stakeholders across a variety of modalities. Manage the licensing template(s) creation, negotiating and commercial license management in line with the business' licensing strategy
Mitigates risk through understanding of proposed terms and conditions and develops
recommendations for contract language to meet business needsIdentify and communicate risk areas throughout the negotiation contract lifecycle and the renewal process
Drive compliance with Legal, organizational and departmental policies and procedures with adherence to processes and business rules
Proficiency with the latest Office365 products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and related electronic tools for editing, documenting, tracking and communicating
25% annual travel expectations (global)

The Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree, required; MBA, preferred
Minimum 5+ years of contracting and negotiating experience, with relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Consumer Health industries
Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
Ability to operate effectively in an environment with high levels of ambiguity
Ability to deal with high levels of complexity, focusing on outcomes
Maryland Posting
The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $152,800 - $210,100, plus bonus, when eligible. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
