SPECIALIST, (ESEA TITLE I) BASIC SCHOOL-WIDE PROJECT AND PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT

 

             

POSITION GOAL

To design and implement the ESEA Title I School-wide Project and Title I Program Improvement plans to improve instructional practices and the aggregate achievement of Title I participants.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• An earned master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of successful teaching experience, two of which must be in federal programs within the District, and experience in planning, administering, and evaluating school programs.
• Florida certification in elementary education and/or reading.
• Ability to work with school staff and parents.
• Expertise in curriculum modification for educationally disadvantaged students.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Florida certification in administration and supervision or educational leadership preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

SIGNIFICANT CONTACTS-frequency, contact, purpose

Works with district curriculum subject area supervisors in coordinating project curriculum with District curriculum.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the School Board.
