Job Summary

The Indirect Strategic Sourcing & Commodity Management role is both exciting & challenging. This position will not only be a focal point for leaders across Pratt & Whitney but will also engage collaboratively with Indirect Supply Chain Consumables category managers and procurement professionals across Raytheon Technologies (RTX), parent company of Pratt & Whitney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations and closing agreements with Suppliers pertaining to Business Services or Operations while ensuring compliance with RTX ethics, P&W and/or RTX policies and procedures.
  • Lead the development, implementation and execution of the sourcing and procurement strategy for assigned category.
  • Develop and execute commercial and contract strategy for assigned categories
  • Work with leadership to address all aspects of category business plans, and pricing through minimizing commercial risk, lowering cost of ownership and meeting customers’ expectations.
  • Actively participating and supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Strategic Sourcing Review Boards (SSRBs), RTX Passport and Council meetings.
  • Measure Key Performance Indicators to ensure continued progress toward achieving annual goals.
  • There is international travel associated with this position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Project Management or related field; OR and advanced degree and 7 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with Indirect Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing & Commodity Management
  • Experience and knowledge of Supply Management (Product or Indirect), Administration / Commerce, Legal, Purchasing, Business, Engineering
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP systems and of U.S. government procurement policies

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
