Full Stack Java Developer (Remote East Coast)

To be a technical resource for the development of clean and maintainable code.  This role is a Full-Stack Java Development role, specializing in new technologies and languages and modernizing apps.

Core Responsibilities:

• Understand our client's fast-moving business requirements.
• Negotiate appropriate solutions with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work with and maintain relationships with peers, end users and vendor development staff and management.
• Write and maintain scalable enterprise quality software.
• Manage the complete software development life cycle.
• Writing functional and unit tests to maintain code quality.
• Collaborate with other teams to deliver a high-performance application that contains little or no defects.
• Design and document the approach for major use cases before coding.
• Articulate and find ways to add unit tests/integrated tests to legacy systems using Junit and Mockito to debug issues.
• Provide accurate estimates for Jira tasks using Scrum development process.
• Ability to critically think and problem solve.
• Identify new opportunities, tools, and services to enhance the custom software platform.
• Support and troubleshoot issues (process & system), identify root cause, and proactively recommend sustainable corrective actions.

Required Experience:

• 8+ years’ experience working as a software development in Java and full stack roles.
• Proven experience in Reverse Engineering and Refactoring code
• Distributed event streaming platforms
• Maintaining and developing web applications for front-end using React, JSF/ PrimeFaces,
• Developing scalable, secure, access-controlled Java SOAP and REST service APIs and implementations.
• 8 + years of enterprise experience in J2EE, Java 8+ and Spring
• Experience in modernizing applications from monolith to microservice.
• Historical & proven knowledge and practical application of: Java 8+, Spring (Framework, Data JPA, Security, Scheduler) Hibernate (JPA, Validator),JSF (Primefaces), J2EE (EJB and JSP), Oracle 12C+,JUnit 4/5, JMeter, Web Services, JavaScript, React, PERL, XML, and HTML
• Experience and understanding code in event driven, microservices, and SOA architectures.
• Knowledge of scalability options and best practices.
• Ability to quickly evaluate, learn and prototype new technologies.
• Court case management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required.
