PACE Occupational Therapist (OT) - PRN

 As a BCN Bluegrass PACE Care team member, you will be a part of a program providing all-inclusive healthcare that keeps Kentuckians aged 55+, who may otherwise need nursing home care, living safely at home. Our PACE experts work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to decide what’s best for each PACE participant, bringing all aspects of medical and personal care, plus social and support services. Most care services are provided at the PACE Center, including transportation to and from the Center. About the role: 

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats participants upon referral by the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in accordance with the order from the physician. Provides treatment through a variety of therapeutic procedures and activities, as well as the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment, with the intent of maximizing functional potential and safety for the participant. Must be willing to provide care in a center setting as well as in home settings.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education or the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Must have passed the NBCOT OTR examination.
• Must be licensed in the state of Kentucky as an Occupational Therapist.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Possess reliable transportation.
•  Must have two years minimum of professional work experience as an Occupational Therapist.  
• Must have at least one year of experience working with the frail and elderly.
• Food handling permit required, to be completed upon hire.
• Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury coverage.
