About the role
<p>We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Program Manager to join our team at Apolitical Foundation. As a Senior Program Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing our projects and programs to ensure their successful execution and impact. This is a full-time position based in our office in Berlin.</p><p><br/><strong>About Us</strong></p><p>Apolitical Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to update representative political leadership for the 21st-century through a worldwide non-partisan movement.</p><p>Our flagship project, the Apolitical Foundation Accelerator, a collaboration with the Daniel Sachs Foundation, is a launchpad for non-partisan political leadership incubators (PLIs), training the next generation of 21st century politicians. The Accelerator has already worked with seven PLIs serving 25 countries (Sweden, Southern Africa, Portugal, Paraguay, the Caucasus, Peru and the DACH region). Our current cohort has 12 teams representing 14 countries. </p><p>We also undertake research, design interactive learning experiences and convene the field of political leadership incubators globally.</p><p>Our office located in Berlin is small and dynamic. Apolitical’s members range from mayors, ministers, and heads of state to millennials pioneering digital innovations.</p><p>See more <a href="https://apolitical.foundation/" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">here</a>.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><ul> <li>Program Development and Management: Design, implement, and manage programs that align with our mission of updating representative political leadership for the 21st-century. </li> <li>Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including political leaders, partner organizations and funding partners.</li> <li>Communication: Create clear, adaptive and persuasive communications for our projects, ranging from project updates to funders, to social media posts for events.</li> <li>Strategic Planning: Contribute to the organization's strategic planning, identifying opportunities for growth and impact.</li> <li>Budget Management: Oversee program budgets, ensuring resources are used effectively and transparently.</li> <li>Evaluation and Reporting: Regularly evaluate program effectiveness and provide comprehensive reports to the funders and the team.</li> <li>Team Management: Guide the work of more junior team members across various projects.</li> <li>The Program Manager will work closely with the senior leadership team, as well as program staff and partners, to ensure the successful execution of projects and programs.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>To be successful in this role, you should have:</p><ul> <li>Passion and interest in politics, political leadership and political system reform.</li> <li>Proven experience in program management in either the non-profit, political or leadership training sectors.</li> <li>Native level English.
