Accountant firms are the most important customer for BILL, they  bring the biggest portion of our company's revenue.  Our team’s mission is to deliver world class services to them so they can be successful and continue thriving on bill.com platform. We use Java, React/Angular, Oracle/MySql/Dynamo, microservice, AWS, Docker,  and other technologies to cover wide range use cases including Onboarding, client management,  user/role management and help customers to enable other core bill.com services in their daily usage on BILL.

In this role you will:  

• Architect, design and implement web applications/Saas solutions using  modern server side technologies.
• Build systems for Scale, performant and secure
• Use Java 8 or later version, Sql/NoSql, WebServices, Http, Rest API, AWS and other technologies
• Working closely with stakeholders to refine requirement and timeline, able to provide trade off solutions when needed; can navigate through ambiguity, find solutions that fit business needs
• Write unit tests and automation tests to ensure higher quality of code and the product
• Help and solve customer issues with passion and speed
• Drive for excellence, exercise ownership/accountability principles 
• Mentor and help junior developers

We’d love to chat if you have:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, or closely related field5+ years of server side software development experience 
• Knowledge of best practices & patterns for large scale applications in web domains
• Expert level programming knowledge in Java 8 or above
• Expert developer level database knowledge writing complex high performance SQL query
• Solid background in data structure/algorithm
• Experience implementing and managing  monitoring solutions using logs, metrics, and traces to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Ability to think from customer perspective, take ownership from beginning to end, including post production phase
• AWS working experience preferred (lambda, ECS, dynamoDB, ELB, API Gateway,etc)
• Ability to work as feature lead with junior developers in building complex software solutions
• Proven ability to take the product through all stages of development from concept to launch
• Expertise with all aspects of SDLC including code reviews, unit testing, automation testing and CI/CD
• Experience with system designBusiness acumen - able to leverage the platform to solve business problems
• Passion for great products and building great customer experiences
• Working knowledge of GraphQL and best practices will add bonus point

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range$145,600—$174,700 USD
