AGC Biologics

About the role

Our purpose is to bring hope to life by enabling life-changing therapies for patients around the globe, creating a healthier and happier tomorrow. Our mission is to work side by side with our customers in order to improve patients’ lives by bringing new biopharmaceuticals to market.

At AGC Biologics, our purpose is simple but powerful: to bring hope to life by enabling life-changing therapies for patients around the globe.

In Søborg, this purpose becomes reality every day inside our manufacturing facility, where complex science is transformed into medicines used by patients worldwide. As part of our Mammalian Upstream Manufacturing team, you will help cultivate the living cell cultures that produce the biologic proteins forming the foundation of these therapies.

Working in a modern GMP environment, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring biologic medicines are produced safely, efficiently, and according to the highest quality standards. Your work will directly support global biotech partners developing the next generation of treatments.

If you enjoy combining technical precision, teamwork, and advanced cell culture technology, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to something meaningful while strengthening your expertise in biologics manufacturing.

Where upstream expertise meets advanced manufacturing

Upstream manufacturing is where the production journey begins. From thawing frozen cell banks to expanding cells and cultivating them in large-scale bioreactors, this is where the biologic product is produced before moving to purification.

In this role, you will work hands-on with the upstream process and play an important part in keeping production running smoothly. A typical shift may involve preparing production areas, managing media production, and executing cultivation steps such as thawing, inoculation, expansion, and harvest.

You will operate advanced technologies including single-use bioreactors, incubators, and monitoring systems, while ensuring that every step follows GMP procedures and production records.

Documentation and quality are equally important parts of the role. You will perform sampling, complete batch documentation, and collaborate closely with scientists and colleagues to ensure that harvested material is transferred seamlessly to downstream processing.

You will also contribute to maintaining equipment readiness through routine checks, calibration, and system monitoring to support reliable production operations.

A team built on collaboration and shared responsibility

You will join a team of technicians and scientists who take pride in supporting each other and maintaining strong GMP standards.

Knowledge sharing is a natural part of the way we work, and close collaboration with colleagues across manufacturing, quality, and development ensures the entire process runs smoothly. While production can at times be fast paced, the environment is structured and supportive, with a strong focus on solving challenges together and continuously improving our processes.

Working in upstream manufacturing gives you exposure to advanced cell culture technologies and the opportunity to deepen your expertise in areas such as LAF operations, cell thawing, expansions, and bioreactor cultivation.

What will help you succeed

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a structured production environment and takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality work.

You will likely bring:

  • A technical background such as Process Operator, Process Technologist, or similar
  • Experience from biotech, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of cell culture, aseptic techniques, or bioreactor systems
  • A collaborative mindset, reliability, and motivation to learn and develop
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, as documentation and procedures are handled in English

A global biotech environment with real impact

AGC Biologics is a global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) supporting biotech and pharmaceutical companies in bringing new biologic medicines to patients worldwide.

At our Søborg site, you will become part of an international manufacturing environment where quality, innovation, and collaboration guide the way we work. Our teams operate advanced technologies while partnering with companies developing the next generation of biologic therapies.

We believe strong teams create strong results. That is why we invest in developing our people, improving our processes, and creating opportunities for employees to grow while contributing to work that truly matters.
