Senior Buyer - Indirect Materials & Services, your future role?

 

As an important player of our Taste & Wellbeing business in Argentina and Chile, your main goal will be to lead the pur-chase of indirect materials and services requested by the business, acquired from third-party suppliers, ensuring supply and compliance promptly, at the lowest possible cost, participating in the control of expenses, advising admin-istrative users and respecting local purchasing procedures and current commercial local and interna-tional laws. You will report into the Procurement Manager and your geographical scope will be Argentina and Chile.

 

You will work onsite two days a week in our manufacturing facilities located at Munro, Gran Buenos Aires, two days in our man-ufacturing facility located in Malvinas Argentinas, GBA, and one day from home.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

 

• Manage purchases of non-productive materials and services according to our local and international standards and respecting current commercial and legal regulations, negotiating prices, quantities, delivery times and payment conditions to meet the needs. supply of the different sectors.
• Collaborate in the identification of new suppliers compatible with the quality demands, delivery times and other re-quirements established by the company to find possible ways to minimize costs and maintain the level of quali-ty of the contracted services.
• Comply with supplier audit programs and QA policies, both local and corporate, to ensure the quality standards.
• Help develop new suppliers, by overseeing their economic, financial and commercial situation, and their capacity and suitability in the provision of goods and services.
• Analyze and propose necessary adjustments to local purchasing procedures according to global or regional policies. Veri-fy and promote compliance with purchasing standards and procedures, keeping the necessary documentation current and updated
• Propose and develop strategies for supplying products and services to hire at opportune times.
• Keep the IM&S supplier master updated.
• Monitor the evolution of expenses generated by our organization in IM&S. Perform analysis of savings opportunities based on the IM&S expense map with the different suppliers. Develop projects to reduce or contain increases by inter-acting with users and those responsible for cost centers or expense authorizers to analyze and develop optimi-zation opportunities.
• Lead cost savings or reduction programs by promoting the formation of multi-departmental work teams. Track the re-sults by recording and validating the savings obtained in the systems designed for this purpose.
• Propose and create contracts in SAP and implement them.

Your professional profile includes:

 

• University degree of Business Management, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience as Buyer of non-productive purchases of products and services in multinational companies with industrial opera-tions in Argentina.
• Experience in purchase of logistics or packaging.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management System, negotiation techniques and purchasing project management, good purchasing practices – Supplier evaluation tools –
• Advanced level of MS excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and SAP.
• Fluent English
