Job Description Summary
Engineering Manager - Responsible for driving the teams around designing, developing, testing Controls Software platforms and systems for Mark VIe based control systems. Managing and mentoring a team of development engineers who work with System Engineers, Program Managers, and Technical Leaders. You will work in a global environment with a skilled cross functional global team owning program execution and creating/improving the state-of-the-art controls platform for use in every kind of power generation application.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall program execution. Own and define team priorities based on business needs.
- Mentor team, providing feedback and insights and driving performance evaluation based on set processes practices and guidelines.
- Impact quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team.
- Inclusively lead team and drive strong team engagement by building trust, collaboration.
- Recruit with the help of technical leads a team of software engineers/developers who are responsible for the entire product development lifecycle: from requirements to production release to post release support.
- Interface with team members and Program Managers for preparation and maintenance of detailed delivery plans for new product introductions, primarily using Agile.
- Work with product development value stream leader, COE managers, RTE, product line manager to define resource and operational management of the technology programs and product sustenance strategy.
- Champion initiatives and own and lead customer issue resolution around product. Build strong interface with application software teams.
- Contribute to the controls platform software roadmap, to achieve convergence of a complex product portfolio, to a cost optimized platform solution.
- Drive lean methodology to drive product cost out and focus on continuous improvement.
- Bridge the gap between cross functional teams and develop strong network with global stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with the hardware designers to optimize firmware / hardware partitioning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Experience in handling development teams in the area of software architecture design and development.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $131,700.00 - 175,500.00 USD per year. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.
This position is also eligible for a 15% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least 8/19/2025.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
