About the Role:

We currently have a permanent, full time, vacancy located in Sydney (Tempe) NSW to join our senior leadership team. As the NSW Regional Manager, you will encompass leading and developing inspired teams, including the NSW Area Managers and the state administration team.  In addition, this vital role supports the General Manager of Retail in furthering the mission of The Salvation Army. You will achieve this by providing strategic leadership and direction in the region, including ensuring mission funding is maximised, profitability targets achieved and continuously improving the engagement and accountability of teams and individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead your teams to develop a positive and high-performing working environment focusing strongly on WHS, strategic plan updates and the implementation of key operational business activities
  • Develop and drive strategies in order to grow the business including stock/production management, visual merchandising, customer experience, the circular economy and waste management
  • Implementation of the national retail strategy, as well as scope for development and roll out of specific initiatives at regional level
  • Management and monitoring of wages and expenditure budgets to ensure ongoing growth and maximum mission surplus return
  • Collaborate and develop strong working relationships with colleagues across Salvos Stores and The Salvation Army networks to achieve best outcomes for our customers and workforce

About you:

  • Seasoned senior leader with a background in retail or similar fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated success in delivering positive results ideally in a not-for-profit organisation
  • Multi-site experience is essential including management of diverse teams
  • Achievement of sales results and cost management KPIs is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously improve the culture and lead change
