About the Senior Buyer Role:

Chromalloy is looking for a Sr. Buyer to be a key member of the Global Sourcing & Regional Procurement team and an integral part of the Chromalloy Team. The Sr. Buyer has responsibility for the Purchasing at the site and has overall accountability for business process, cost management, initiating and executing strategic sourcing initiatives at a site level.

Bring your previous purchasing experience & analytical ability to the Chromalloy team.  In this collaborative role, you will be a pivotal member of the purchasing team, supporting both tactical and strategic activities. You will analyze historic data to support planning and procurement activities for indirect spend and assigned commodities. As a valued contributor, you will manage stakeholder relationships with leaders and assist in navigation of the sourcing processes. Your comfort with being in high demand and handling not only ‘core’ responsibilities but supporting other team tasks as arise will contribute to your success in the role. Some of your responsibilities will include:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day leadership and direction to the Site’s purchasing team to deliver against cost management targets and provide support to the Site in a number of activities, including but not limited to:

• Collaborating with operations to define material and service needs
• Negotiating and managing purchase orders to meet site demands
• Maintaining supplier performance (OTD, Fill Rate, and Quality)
• Ensuring adherence to internal procurement performance expectations
• Identifying and executing on continuous improvement opportunities
• Providing information and analysis for make/buy decisions
• Developing and managing purchasing cost savings opportunities
• Negotiating supplier agreements
• Assisting Global Sourcing leadership with defined projects and executing strategic sourcing initiatives
• Supporting Site Planning to ensure RM inventory levers (Kanban, min/max, etc..) remain current and accurate
• Ensuring supplier lead-time accuracy in demand system
• Aligning payment terms
• Maintaining an in-depth understanding of key supplier business & financial risks

Qualifications

Position requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field,

·         3+ years’ experience purchasing in a manufacturing environment

·         Strong Excel skills and ability to work in a large matrix environment.

Position will be located in Carson City, NV
