Job Duties

Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute is a state psychiatric inpatient facility, located in Falls Church, Virginia. We are seeking a dependable and highly motivated team player to provide receptionist coverage for our visitor entrance. Some of the responsibilities include answering all incoming calls and assisting with outgoing calls, receiving and checking in visitors, sorting and distributing mail, and performing other administrative duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the public, excellent oral and written communication skills, be organized, be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have the ability to work independently. Positive, customer focused applicants desired.

This part-time position requires availability during nights and weekends, with an average of 20 working hours per week. The selected candidate will work alternating weeknights from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and every other weekend from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

• e.g., work Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday off Thursday/Friday.
• During holidays or peak seasons additional hours are offered.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated experience of computer skill competence (i.e. Word and Excel) required.

Additional Considerations

Entry level switchboard operator training or multi-line phone experience preferred.
Entry level experience answering phones in a professional environment preferred.
Entry-level front-line customer services experience preferred.
