Job Summary:
The Paralegal at the Hall of Fame Village, a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW), will work closely with our legal team to provide various support functions to our growing business teams. Particularly in the areas of commercial transactions managing the contract repository, and other duties as assigned. This position will report directly to our Assistant General Counsel.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Support the legal team with general corporate and commercial matters.
- Track the status of various contracts and documents, and prompt internal stakeholders regarding status.
- Maintain repository of contracts and other key legal documents, as well as a system to track termination and renewal dates for follow up.
- Assist with the creation and circulation of executive summaries for contracts and other key legal documents.
- Work on projects and perform legal research on various topics as assigned.
- Provide superior guest service to visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff.
- Supervision of assigned staff, assuming day-to-day responsibilities for personnel related matters that include but are not limited to:
o Assist during interview process, onboarding, and training new hires.
o Complete annual performance reviews for all supervised staff.
o Provide continuous feedback, supervision, and coaching to all supervised staff.
o Formal discipline supervised staff in conjunction with Human Resources.
o Create and maintain schedule, assignments, and attendance.
o Approve time clocks and make adjustments as needed.
o Respond in a timely manner to calls, texts, inquiries, and emails.
o Enforce uniform protocol.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred.
- Paralegal Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree a plus, but not required
- Minimum of 5 years’ Paralegal experience, preferably in management.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary) is required.
- Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality.
- Proven ability in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements for Position:
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
- The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.
- The ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.
- Must be able to hear, see, and speak.
- Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.
- Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties.
- Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.
