Senior Manager / Associate Director - Centralized Payroll Operations (Europe)

Position Overview:
The Senior Manager / Associate Director for Centralized Payroll Operations will lead the establishment and growth of a new payroll processing hub in Krakow, Poland, serving the European region. This role requires a visionary leader who can design and implement our centralized payroll model, organize knowledge transfers, and build an efficient, high-performing team from the ground up. The ideal candidate will foster a strong culture of cooperation, ensuring seamless collaboration between the centralized team and local country specialists.

Roles & Responsibilites:

• Office and Team Establishment:
• Set up a new payroll processing hub in Krakow, Poland, including facilities, resources, and systems.
• Recruit, train, and onboard a team of payroll professionals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.
• Create a supportive and engaging work environment that attracts and retains top talent.
• Centralized Payroll Model Implementation:
• Lead the design and implementation of standardized payroll processes across the European region.
• Organize and manage knowledge transfers from local country teams to the centralized hub.
• Ensure adherence to compliance requirements and best practices in payroll processing.
• Team Management and Development:
• Oversee both the centralized payroll processing team and local country specialists.
• Train and mentor junior team members to develop into skilled, senior payroll processors.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence:
• Develop and maintain efficient processes for payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Collaborate with local teams to ensure seamless cooperation and knowledge sharing.
• Monitor and report on performance metrics, driving accountability and improvement.
• Leadership and Strategy:
• Act as the primary point of contact for European payroll operations.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align the payroll strategy with overall company objectives.
• Represent the Krakow hub in global initiatives and ensure its integration into the broader payroll framework.

Requirements

Technical Expertise:

• 8+ years of payroll experience, including experience in European payroll operations.
• Proven track record of setting up and managing teams or offices.
• Strong understanding of European payroll regulations and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

This collaborative approach ensures compliance, operational excellence, and superior client service. While the local teams provide guidance and support, the centralized teams operate independently within a well-defined framework, fostering a cohesive and efficient working environment.
